This training is open to all levels, whether you’re an experienced practitioner or just beginning your journey.
Program Highlights
Asana Practice:

This foundational class will equip you with the tools to create a balanced and effective teaching practice, emphasizing both physical strength and inner awareness.
Anatomy & Physiology:
Gain a comprehensive understanding of human anatomy and how it relates to yoga. This module emphasizes safe and sustainable practices in asana. Learn from Dr. Jen Dorn, an experienced chiropractor and yoga teacher trained in India, who brings a unique perspective on the body and its movement in yoga.
Yoga Philosophy & Ethics:
Explore the rich, transformative teachings of classical yoga through foundational texts such as the Yoga Sutras and the Bhagavad Gita. Kristin will guide you in integrating yoga philosophy into your personal practice and teaching, while emphasizing ethical practices to help you teach with authenticity, integrity, and compassion.
Ayurveda:
Learn how to nourish and balance the body and mind through the ancient science of Ayurveda. Holle McRae, Ayurvedic Health Counselor, will guide you through Ayurvedic principles and help you integrate them into your life. You’ll also participate in a Spring Ayurvedic Cleanse, offering a deeper layer of transformation for your body and spirit.
Teaching Methodology:
Develop the practical tools you need to teach yoga with confidence. Learn how to structure classes, address the unique needs of your students, and communicate with clarity and compassion. This section will help you cultivate your authentic teaching voice and empower you to create classes that inspire and guide students toward their own inner light.
Practicum:
Gain invaluable hands-on teaching experience in the Practicum portion of the training. You will have the opportunity to teach real yoga classes, refine your teaching techniques, and practice working with students in a supportive, nurturing environment.
Under the mentorship of Naomi Jones, the owner of True North Yoga, you’ll hone key teaching skills such as vocal clarity, cueing, creating a safe and sacred space, and working with students of all levels. Naomi, who has trained over 300 yoga teachers worldwide, will offer expert guidance and personalized feedback to help you refine your practice and grow into a confident instructor.
Meditation & Pranayama:
Integrate breathwork and meditation techniques into your teaching toolkit. This module will deepen your personal practice while teaching you how to use breath and meditation as transformative tools in your classes. Learn how to guide students to cultivate a deeper connection with themselves and their practice.
